Bowl 176
Here is a rather rustic looking but graceful Red Oak bowl made from a single board cut into rings and stacked up to produce the distinctive shape. After stacking it was turned on a lathe to final shape.
It would be happiest used as a fruit or salad bowl, or on a living room table adding subtle beauty to the space, preferably in a modern farmhouse, cabin or lake house.
The bowl is just over 10" diameter and not quite 4 1/2" tall. Finished in boiled linseed oil for a matte finish.
