Bowl 750
Bowl 750 is old growth Douglas Fir salvaged from the Central Services Facility in Madison WI, built in 1895 and demolished in 2015. It’s likely the mother tree was a seedling in the 1200’s or 1300’s, long before the United States was founded. Truly ancient, beautifully colored tight grained wood. This sturdy piece has been ring stack laminated from a single board. This one could be used as a small fruit bowl or candy dish in a table setting or on a side table. Hand rubbed with mineral oil and beeswax, it’s 6 inches in diameter and 2 7/8” tall.
Food safe for chips, snacks, popcorn.
