Bowl 765
Bowl 765 is old growth Douglas Fir salvaged from the Central Services Facility in Madison WI, built in 1895 and demolished in 2015. It’s likely the mother tree was a seedling in the 1200’s or 1300’s, long before the United States was founded. Truly ancient, beautifully colored tight grained wood. 2 rings friction burned with a copper wire accent this piece. For your dresser or nightstand; have quick access to your jewelry or pocket change in the morning. Hand rubbed with mineral oil and beeswax, it’s 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2” tall.
